What is EAP?

Equine-facilitated psychotherapy (EFP) is a form
of therapy based on human interactions with horses. Research and anecdotal data suggest that EFP can help adults, teens, and young children:

• Improve or lessen the symptoms of anxiety, mood, psychotic, behavioral, and eating disorders

• Cope with “major life changes,” such as divorce, job loss, grief, and environmental trauma

• Improve communication, cooperation, and leadership skills

• Build self-esteem, confidence, and trust

No experience with horses is necessary to participate, and programs can be tailored to individual participants’ needs and goals.

Leadership. Harmony. Inner Peace.
